happy anniversary, happy anniversary, happy anniversary, haaaaappy anniversary...happy happy happy happy happy anniversary...happy happy happy happy..

hello! It has been a busy week! Zach and I went to the Polynesian culture center on a bounceback deal by ourselves on Thursday while Sunny watched the kids. We also tried some shrimp and crab at the "Shrimp Shack" which is supposedly the best shrimp shack on the island. It was very yummy but let me tell you, Zach and I don't know how to eat Crab. We had the hardest time. The lady who owned the shrimp shack came out herself to see us struggle and laugh at us. She brought us extra shrimp crackers. She said she has been eating and cracking into crabs since she was born in Maryland. Friday, we went surfing and to the beach in the morning (picture of tatum: she takes her sand play very seriously) then Zach and I took off to the Hale Koa Hotel to celebrate our 6th anniversary (1 week late). The Hale Koa is a nice resort hotel right on Waikiki beach right next to the Hilton. It is military personnel only. We ate at the "Top of Waikiki" rotating restaurant and then walked the beach and the city while the sun set. Very romantic!!!! Saturday morning we swam in the pool, saw a movie, did some shopping. I had to get some fingerprints done for my RN license so we went to this little shop that was about 250 square feet and owned by a very old Japanese couple. The place was covered with 80's posters (nightrider, Kirk Cameron etc...) and the magazines in the waiting room were soo old, nothing past 1987. The little lady was so funny! She said, "You have cute guy. He very cute. He your husband?" Then stuff like, "You don't take your kids to Hawaii, you send home to grandma and grandpa. Grandma and grandpa want to watch those kids." then, "you need to have 3 more kids to make full basketball team." and "you beautiful nurse, very beautiful nurse." She was so sweet I wanted to hug her! Anyway today Sunny and Dave left for a 4 day trip to the big island for a very early anniversary. So needless to say it has been CRAZY with 6 very energetic kids. We took a drive this morning and to the park, and they have just been running around. But they're good kids so it will be a fun 4 days. BY THE WAY I think I have fixed the blog so that anyone can comment even if they aren't registered or even if they don't have a google account so try again and see if it works. We will be back to Utah in a little over 2 weeks. It has gone by so fast! Then on July 12th I have an interview at Desert Springs hospital in LV so we will be in St. George staying with Zach's grandma for probably a month or so until we can get into a house. Hope to hear from you soon! amy

Very cool. The pictures are great. The Tater looks happy covered in sand. And the surfer almost looks like Zach.
Congratulations on your anniversary. We love you.

Yeah! I can leave comments now. I love the picture of the 6 kids lined up on the bench. You guys are a natural at the kid thing... get busy and have some more! We can't wait until you guys come to Las Vegas. Something to look forward to: the weatherman says it won't go below 100 in Vegas until sometime in September. Right now it is between 105-110 every day. We are soooo glad you are coming!
