Leavin' Las Vegas!

The time has finally arrived. We are leaving! AND Zach got a job in THE BEST CITY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, it needs no other explanation. We didn't think we would be in this situation, but I am actually the one now in need of a job. This particular city is one of the only cities where there is no nursing shortage, so I am looking at a commute and a long wait. So if anyone knows anyone at LRH let me know please! I need a contact! I'm also looking into Mckay Dee and Ogden Regional Hospital. So we are off and running yet again, but I think this time it is for good. We may actually be about to settle down!!!!! I can't believe it...

Good Times, Good Times

Well, yesterday was my last day of work here in Las Vegas. By the way, I tried not to start with "well," but it just doesn't have the same feel. Anyway, of course it was the craziest day I've had in a month, out like a lion I guess! Hopefully that means at my new job it will be in like a lamb, right? I will miss the people I work with. There are so many good people that become nurses! And most nurses are 10-20 years older than me and for some reason I get along really well with people who are in that age range. I appreciate their years of experience I guess. So basically, my first year of nursing is just about behind me, which is a huge feat and I am so glad for the experience! Here are some pics from Tatum's party, to which only 1 of 4 invited guests were able to attend (we had fun none the less! Thanks Aunt Patrice!)

This is my attempt at a "princess cake." The mold had all this fancy smanshy fondant decor but I was short on time so butter frosting and pre-made canned frosting it was! Tatum loved it. I think she ate 80% of the frosting off her.

Tyger really knows how to pose, because let me tell you , they only get along this well about 7% of the time. But I'll cherish this rare photo!

Tater's new bathing suit from "Old Navy." She looks soooo cute! Since I have used %'s in the last 2 pics, I might as well continue the tradition. I only "girly-ize" tatum 10% of the time and her hair is as girly as I could muster. She felt like a princess! And she is our little princess.

We attempted to go to our local park where they have this little play water fountain thing. But the park was PACKED and within minutes of our arrival a pack of wild teenagers took over the water feature and scared all the little kids away. Dang teenagers! (I used to be 100% sure I would never say that)

Sometimes a Hug is Just a Hug

I am the stereotypical male slacker when it comes to birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and basically being romantic. I have every intention to be romantic, sweet, and creative but I sometimes don't get that far. Unfortunately relying only on good intentions doesn't benefit any one (if you know what I am saying). Amy has to occasionally remind me that "sometimes a hug is just a hug" (and not a HUG)!! It would sure make life easy if I said to Amy " I intended on doing the dishes" and she responded "you are the most wonderful husband" I haven't got that response from not doing the dishes yet but hopefully someday. This is my attempt to do a blog post. I have published one in the past which most critics gave 1.5 stars (Amy). I felt it was a two thumbs up performance maybe knowing how to spell and coherently putting together a sentence would have helped. My goal with this post and intended audience is to let my best friend in the whole world know how I feel about her. (sorry Pamela Anderson the next post is about you) Also to publicly tell her that I am sorry for slacking off through the years on the import romantic girl stuff. I know it means a lot to you when I put forth effort and do those simple things you desire and deserve.

I completely married up!! I honestly do not know how I lucked out so much or how my wife puts up with me. First of all I am completely head over heels in love with her. Not just that horny type of love but the type where I put her before food (that is a lot). Amy is the best mother! She is constantly trying to improve her skills as a mother and is always worrying about the kids. She makes each one of our kids feel special and she does little special things for them. I watch her just look at them and I see in her eyes this devotion and sacrificial love for our family. Sometimes she works late so I am responsible to feed the kids dinner. I feed them a big bowl of gold fish. Amy would not do that she would feed them dinner. I am telling you she is awesome!!! Amy is the hardest worker. She is so smart and funny. Her co-workers are so blessed to have her around. I can sometimes be a pain and don't tell her how much I appreciate her. If she only had any idea how I couldn't even survive with out her around. Amy you are my best friend. I love you!!! I am sorry you had to work on mothers day. Happy Mothers Day. One last thing, besides being awesome, Amy is so flipping HOT. I am the luckiest guy.

Happy Birthday Tatum!

Even though Tatum insists she is 4, she is actually 3 today! We are celebrating on Saturday since dad is out of town but here are some cute pics from over the years. Newest to oldest. For even more cute pics, check out the Grandma Sue's blog!

The DePrivitization of Putnampalooza

Clearly, privatization was not for us for several reasons.
#1: Blogger only allows 100 invited guests.
#2: Old friends (and new friends) could not stop in!
#3: Many valued customers (including several grandparents) could not access the site.
#4: Extra maintenance and extra log on steps do not fit our slothful and inert lifestyles.
So we have decided not to stay private but will attempt to be more discreet about names and places so as to avoid stalkers showing up at our house or something crazy like that. Luckily we will be homeless shortly and that won't be a problem.
So to celebrate, some pictures from this week for your viewing enjoyment!

Pre-eyebrow "threading" from "Eyebrows 'R' Us" (ignore the goatee, focus on the brows... or should I say brow)

Post eyebrow "threading." The whole way home we were singing, (to the tune of the $5 subway footlong song): "Seven dollar...seven dollar...seven dollar eyebrow. (Repeat)"

I went to a work party last night for my friend Jian Wei's housewarming. She is my charge nurse. I LOVE the people I work with and will miss them dearly when we move... to Iowa wink wink...

She calls them her sunglasses.

Fashion is a serious subject. (Pretend laughing at my captions is perfectly acceptable).

Not!

Silly Tyger!
