Leavin' Las Vegas!

The time has finally arrived. We are leaving! AND Zach got a job in THE BEST CITY IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD, it needs no other explanation. We didn't think we would be in this situation, but I am actually the one now in need of a job. This particular city is one of the only cities where there is no nursing shortage, so I am looking at a commute and a long wait. So if anyone knows anyone at LRH let me know please! I need a contact! I'm also looking into Mckay Dee and Ogden Regional Hospital. So we are off and running yet again, but I think this time it is for good. We may actually be about to settle down!!!!! I can't believe it...

Ah. About to settle down. If only...Chris and I went to church in K-town yesterday and I cried all the way through it becuase I miss it so much! Chris was like, "Gosh, why are you being such a baby?" After which I wanted to slap him...I actaully think that is the place we need to be to raise our family. I just wish it was sooner than later!
Im so glad you are moving here though! Now we can argue in person! :)

I thought of the Sheryl Crow song when I read your title. We're anxious to have you back! I couldn't believe how many minutes Tyler talked to Zach when I looked at our phone bill last month!

I used to work on the Medical floor but the manager has changed since then, sorry. Maybe talk to ashely and see if she has connections at the specialty hospital... Good luck. I am so jelous. Maybe someday we can work together!
P.S. Thanks for the recommedation for phantom. Your blog is why we went, and it was every bit as good as you said it was, especially not seeing the makeout couple!

I can't even imagine what it would be like to be settling down-especially in Utah. I'm sitting here trying to not be jealous! We are in CA because my husband's company (he works in the life insurance business) has just given the office he works in all of S. California so we are here so he can recruit guys to work the area. Supposidly as soon as they are recruited we will be back in Grand Junction-I keep hoping for Utah but if we stay with this company I think CO will be the closest we ever get.

Yea! Logan is great. Glad to hear you are coming back! :)
If you are looking to buy a house, I know a great one that's for sale. Lol.

Oh.. and Jamie Bowles worked at Logan Regional for awhile. She may still. Not sure if you remember her from the ward.

Yeah! I'm so excited, be sure to call me if you need help moving in. My job just barely hired a bunch of people, but you could probably get on PRN and it would work into part or full pretty quick (nights). If you don't find anything else right off let me know. There's always Sunshine Terrace, but only as a last resort! I'm sure you could get on at Mackay Dee if you wanted to commute, be patient and something will come up for sure.

Ok, I am jealous. I love Logan and miss it so much. It really is one of the best places to live in the whole world. Good luck finding a job. I agree, LRH never seems to be hiring, so I got stuck at the nursing home waiting for an opening then we moved. Julie O'Brien was the DON at LNR last I knew, and she'd definitely take you until something opens up at LRH. I know, yuck, a nursing home is always a last resort.

Congrats! I am so happy that you guys are headed back this way. We'll be here for two more years while Frank gets his Masters. YEA!

Well, I'm sorry it took me so long to email you back - but I finally did. Hope the move went ok. I'm glad you're back!

Hooray for you! I lovingly refer to Logan as Never Never Land--the place where one never has to grow up.

Hey Amy, your're probably wondering who in the heck is sjcbcfam, I was in the Greenfield Ward with you, (this is Jamie Douglass) I was looking at all the contacts on Jamie Bowles blogs and saw the Groethe's then I saw you guys on the Groethe's blog,
I thought you guys were moving to Hawaii, that must have never happened? I read your nursing blog and enjoyed reading it. I am currently working towards a nursing degree, (hopefully will be starting the nursing program next fall), anyways, your stories on your blog made me question the nursing field.
I'd love to talk to you more, maybe once you get to logan and settled in we can talk sometime.
(If your're still trying to figure out who I am, we exercised a few times together in the exercise room at Hanbury. Cooper is my oldest son, then I have Brooke my daughter and Colter is almost 2.
If your're still wondering, check out my blog at sjcbcfam@blogspot.com
Take care and have fun moving.

Hi Amy!
I worked at IHC for 8 yrs and know quite a few people. I am also doing my clinical hours there right now. Do you know what unit you are interested in? One of my good friends is on the float pool and has been for 11 years because she loves being able to work everywhere and learn as much as possible. My blog is tjkatbowles.blogspot.com. Let me know.

I jumped on the bandwagon and felt it was best to not display our last name on our blog, so if you would change our blog address to tjkat.blogspot.com that would be great. (It is the same except that we dropped the last name!) Thanks, Jai
